Early Monday morning on June 22, starting at 3 AM, Alhambra residents and visitors lined up at 146 S. Palm Ave for their “One Love” — fried chicken from Raising Cane’s. With its new location near the intersection of S. Palm Ave and W. Commonwealth Ave, the Raising Cane’s team is committed to continuing to bring the quality the brand has become known for to the city.
More than 100 eager visitors got a taste of the quality as Raising Cane’s celebrated its ribbon cutting and official grand opening with merchandise giveaways, free meals, and, for 20 lucky guests in line, free Cane’s for a year. A live DJ and cheerleading squad welcomed the restaurant to town, while the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce partnered with the business to help make opening day a success.
“Thank you so much for the support. On behalf of everybody inside, we are so excited to be part of this community and serve quality chicken meals. We’re going to honor the legacy of our founder and take care of the community,” shared Angel, restaurant leader of the new location. True to his word, Raising Cane’s marked its opening day by giving back to local schools, presenting $1,000 donations to Alhambra High School and San Gabriel High School.
In attendance to celebrate the grand opening were representatives from State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez’s office, Congresswoman Judy Chu’s office, and Assemblymember Mike Fong’s office, who presented certificates and congratulations to the staff of the new restaurant.
The new Raising Cane’s brings increased activity to west Alhambra, strategically located next to Costco and featuring two drive-thru lanes, making it a convenient stop for hungry shoppers in the area. The restaurant also remains open late into the night, operating until 2 AM most nights and until 3:30 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
