Celebrate National Ice Cream Day in Alhambra This Sunday

Alhambra is an ice cream city! It’s been hot this summer in Alhambra, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than to celebrate National Ice Cream day with your friends this Sunday. In a city renowned for its dining cuisine, it’s little surprise to many that there is a vast variety of high quality ice cream spots for you to try out.

Delhi Belly – 8 W Main St, Alhambra

To start your ice cream holiday, try out Delhi Belly’s mango kulfi. This Indian ice cream has a rich, creamy flavor, and because it isn’t churned like most Western ice creams, it’s slow melting and smooth. If you’re worried about your ice cream melting on you in the heat, this is the way to go.

    Fosselman’s Ice Cream – 1824 W Main St, Alhambra

One of the most well known establishments across Alhambra is Fosselman’s, a historic ice cream parlor established in 1919 and opened in Alhambra in 1941. With over a century of experience, Fossleman’s is hard to beat. They’ve got iconic flavors and are excited to be part of the festivities on Sunday.

“We’re just happy to serve the community and match their excitement,” they shared. “We love seeing all the smiles and it’s a nice reminder that something so simple like ice cream could have such a big impact on people!”

    Coconut & Co – 15 E Main St, Alhambra

Newly opened next to the Regal Edwards Theater is Coconut & Co, featuring the various coconut flavors of Southeast Asia. This Sunday only, they’ll be serving a free scoop of ube ice cream with every drink purchase order. Stop by to try their new menu and get ice cream with your drink!

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream – 1127 S Fremont Ave, Alhambra

Also recently opened, Handel’s on Fremont has been drawing a steady crowd of ice cream lovers since their launch earlier this year. Can’t make up your mind on what ice cream you’ll be getting? Bring a friend and split their 4 scoop sampler (or two of them)!

    Wendy’s – 245 S Atlantic Blvd, Alhambra

Head over to Wendy’s to try out the popular ice cream craze of dipping french fries in your ice cream. It’s an unbeatable combo of hot and cold, sweet and salty, and creamy and crispy. This July 19th, Wendy’s is offering $1 small classic Frostys in honor of the holiday, redeemable on the Wendy’s App for rewards members.

Aloha Food Factory – 2990 W Valley Blvd, Alhambra

Want to pair your ice cream with delicious macadamia nut pancakes? Aloha Food Factory features ice cream as a highly popular add on to their shaved ice. If you’re a true ice cream lover, upgrade to “The Works” – one flavor with ALL topics: condensed milk, ice cream, li hing, mochi, and azuki beans.
