The Downtown Alhambra Business Association proudly presents the 12th Annual Alhambra Pumpkin Run and Halloween Festival, scheduled for Sunday, October 26, in the heart of Downtown Alhambra. This popular community tradition not only offers family friendly fun and festive activities but also directly benefits local students by supporting the Alhambra Educational Foundation (AEF). Funds raised from the 10K, 5K, and 1K help enhance educational programs throughout Alhambra’s schools.
The festivities begin early Sunday morning with races designed for participants of all ages and athletic abilities. Community members can register for the challenging 10K, the well-attended 5K, or the family-friendly 1K Kids Run, ideal for children ages 5 and older. Additionally, the Kiddie Run provides a delightful introduction to racing for the youngest participants, ages 3 and 4, ensuring the entire family can join in the excitement.
Following the races, the festival atmosphere continues along 2nd St. with an array of enjoyable activities for attendees of every age. Families are invited to participate in trick or treating hosted by local businesses and enjoy the Kids Halloween Costume Contest, where prizes will be awarded to the most creative costumes.
Adults can relax at the Beer Garden, sponsored by Alhambra’s own Ohana Brewing Co., which will offer a selection of local craft beers. Nearby, the Alhambra Certified Farmers Market will showcase local vendors offering fresh seasonal produce, delicious treats, handmade crafts, and unique gifts.
The festival concludes with a free outdoor concert featuring live entertainment, fostering community spirit and providing an opportunity to gather with neighbors and friends in celebration of Halloween and local pride.
