    League Champions Moors Baseball

The Alhambra Varsity Baseball Team won the Almont League Title for the first time since 2017.  The Moors finished the season 21-6-1 and 13-2 in the Almont League to advance to the CIF-SS Playoffs. The Moors season ended in the first round with a 10-8 loss to Estancia who went on to win the Division 6 Championship.

The Moors were well represented when the Almont All League Awards were announced, including Marc Hernandez being named the League MVP. Other First Team honors went to Daniel Gonzalez, Nero Navarro, Isaiah Lerma, and Jacob Rodriguez. George Jimenez, Aiden Kim, Leon Wang and Enicio Torres were named to the 2nd Team while Jake Hightower and Gavin Escobedo received Honorable Mention.

History was made this season when Camila Chacon became the first female to play Varsity Baseball at Alhambra. She also received the team’s Heart & Hustle Award.

Despite having 11 seniors on the team, 5 of the All League players are returning next season including the MVP. In addition, the JV Team also won the Almont League Title. The Moors will be aiming not only to defend their title, but win the last Almont League Title ever as the league will be disbanded with Alhambra, San Gabriel, and Keppel joining a new league beginning with the 2026-27 football season.
