The Alhambra Police Department is excited to host this year’s National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 5, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM—and this year, the event is happening in front of the Alhambra Police Headquarters (211 S. First Street)!
Attendees will have the chance to watch live demonstrations and interact with officers, SWAT team members, motor personnel, and K-9 units. It’s a great way to get a behind-the-scenes look at the department and learn more about the important work being done to keep Alhambra safe.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to meet our officers and learn more about the work Alhambra PD does every day to serve Alhambra,” said Mayor Katherine Lee. “National Night Out is about building relationships and trust between law enforcement and the community. It’s events like these that strengthen our city and remind us that public safety is truly a shared effort.”
In addition to demonstrations, guests can enjoy free food and drinks, participate in games and raffles, and explore informational booths with resources on safety programs and community services. Don’t forget to stop by and meet the fan-favorite K-9 officers in action, Doggo and Otis! Plus, the Traffic Division will be hosting a special Bike Rodeo, where kids can learn the rules of the road and brush up on bicycle and pedestrian safety in a fun, hands-on way.
Alhambra PD’s National Night Out is a free family-friendly event, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, this is a perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors, learn more about public safety, and have a great time.
