Students, parents, teachers, coaches, advisors, and administrators gathered in the Alhambra Unified School District Board Room on May 18, 2026, to recognize students for their outstanding accomplishments in extracurricular activities during the winter and spring seasons. Students from across the district and multiple grade levels were honored for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments.

Among those recognized during the ceremony was Brightwood School eighth grader Cadence Tanaka, a member of the school’s Science Olympiad team. Reflecting on the honor, Tanaka shared, “It’s an honor to be recognized by the district, and it shows that all the work we’ve put in is seen and valued.”

Like Tanaka, many of the students honored are passionate about the clubs, teams, and activities they participate in and look forward to continuing their involvement in the years ahead. As the recognition event came to a close, students and their families left with a sense of pride, knowing that their hard work and accomplishments had been celebrated and appreciated.
