AAUW Alhambra-San Gabriel branch members and friends gathered to support the highly successful “Fund Fun” Event at the First United Methodist Church of San Gabriel on Saturday, March 15. Megan Chung, an AAUW fellow from UCLA, gave a wonderful presentation on her  thesis on Free Electron Laser Imaging. Under Fund Vice-President Jane Anderson’s excellent direction, earnings from the luncheon, white elephant sale, and centerpiece ‘giving,’ totaled over $300.

The heart of AAUW is the AAUW Fund! Since 1889, AAUW has funded women and girls in their quests to follow their dreams for higher education. From Marie Curie to our present-day Megan Chung, AAUW’s fellowships represent every imaginable field of endeavor, awarding almost $4,000,000 every year in scholarships, fellowships, and community action grants.
