On Sunday afternoon, thousands of people walked, cycled, and skated along the five-mile Mission-to-Mission route from South Pasadena to San Gabriel for ActiveSGV’s Mission at Twilight ciclovía.

Along the way, participants enjoyed activity booths, live music, and pop up performances. The Alhambra hub featured giant games, a badminton zone, face painting, a professional chalk artist, and other arts activities.

Alhambra Chamber members joined in to show their community spirit. Iona Workspaces held a raffle for a summer day pass bundle, Starbucks provided free cups of coffee outside of their Main St. location, and The Wild Whisk partnered with Happy Humble Hub to sell its signature sweet treats. The San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, which provides water to the city of Alhambra, also had a booth to share information about its services.

Active Streets: Mission at Twilight was organized by ActiveSGV, an SGV-based non-profit organization dedicated to realizing a safer, more sustainable and equitable San Gabriel Valley. It was presented by Metro and hosted by the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments to promote more sustainable and active modes of transportation.
