City of Alhambra to Provide Free and Healthy Summer Meals to Local Youth

The City of Alhambra is proud to announce the return of the Summer Food Service Program, offering free, healthy lunches and snacks to children and teens 1 to 18 years of age from June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026. The program helps ensure local youth continue to receive nutritious meals while school is out for the summer.

The program, operated by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), also features recreational activities such as games and weekly raffles.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Summer Food Service Program and welcome children and families to enjoy healthy meals all summer long,” said Mayor Jeff Maloney. “This program is a wonderful example of our community coming together to support our youth and provide stability, health, and peace of mind during the summer months. We look forward to another great summer serving the families of Alhambra.”
