The San Gabriel Varsity Football Team was the only AUSD team to qualify for the CIF Playoffs after finishing third in the Almont League. The Matadors got hot at the right time with playoff victories over Desert Christian, Coast Mesa, and Duarte before losing 13-6 to Pioneer in the Division 14 Championship Game on November 30. The team was led all year by junior running backs Louie Navarro and Adam Mascorro.

The basketball season started up November 19. The Mark Keppel Varsity Boys team has started strong with an 8-2 record over their first ten games while San Gabriel has also started well with a 10-2 record. Alhambra has had a rough start with a record of 3-4.

On the girls side, Mark Keppel is 5-7 playing a tough preseason schedule while Alhambra is 4-4 and San Gabriel is 1-6. Almont League games will begin January 13.
