The Alhambra Management Association (AMA) is proud to recognize Mark Keppel High School senior Gabrielle (Gabby) Wong as its Association of School Administrators (ACSA) “Every Student Succeeding” Award recipient. Gabby has made a profound impact as the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Therapicasso, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving mental health through the therapeutic power of art, offering individuals a safe and creative outlet to explore, process, and express emotions.
In November, Gabby’s achievement was celebrated at a recognition luncheon, which highlighted the resilience, determination, and contributions of remarkable students across the region. Gabby joined her fellow honorees at the Every Student Succeeding Recognition Ceremony in Pasadena, where she was celebrated for her achievements and for rising above the obstacles she has faced along her journey. Gabby also earned a $400 scholarship, along with the admiration of the District’s leadership team.
Gabby’s recognition came on the same day Therapicasso’s first-ever fundraising gala, which took place later that evening. Together with Therapicasso co-founder Joshua Ferriere, they raised over $14,000 to continue their non-profit’s mission to promote mental wellness through artistic expression.
