Alhambra Unified School District was thrilled to hear that Alhambra High School seniors Elsdon Wong, Kenneth San, and Kevin San were awarded full-ride scholarships through QuestBridge, a highly competitive program that connects exceptional students with top-tier universities.

Elsdon has been accepted into Swarthmore College, Kenneth to Johns Hopkins University, and Kevin to Princeton University. Just being accepted into these prestigious institutions is a remarkable achievement, and thanks to the QuestBridge program, these students will receive financial support covering tuition as well as housing, food, books, supplies, and even travel expenses.

These impressive seniors are also key members of Alhambra High’s champion Academic Decathlon team, under the coaching of Mr. Jose Sanchez, who shared this incredible news with the Alhambra USD community. “I’m ecstatic!” said Coach Sanchez, clearly proud of his students’ achievements. “All three of them are amazing. I’m going to miss them after they graduate, but I am also excited to see what they will accomplish next year!”

AUSD and AHS are excited for Elsdon, Kenneth, and Kevin as they prepare to take the next steps in their academic journeys. Their QuestBridge recognition is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the support of their families, teachers, and peers.
