Cal State LA selected as county Vote Center for 2024 general election

Cal State LA has been selected to serve as a Los Angeles County Vote Center in California’s November 5 General Election.

Voters in Los Angeles County will be able to cast their ballots for an extended voting period at any Vote Centers located across the county.

“Many of us in our L.A. communities come from families where past generations fought for the vote,” said Cal State LA President Berenecea Johnson Eanes. “Voting is a cherished right of all those who have struggled, overcome, and now seek to build a brighter future.”

The Cal State LA Vote Center will be open Saturday, November 2, through Election Day on Tuesday, November 5.

The center will be located in the University-Student Union, Los Angeles Rooms, on the third floor of the building. Hours of operation, parking information, and other details can be found on the Cal State LA Vote Center webpage.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s Office has also installed an official ballot drop box permanently on campus to encourage more college students to vote. The drop box is located near Lot 4, across from the Career Center. All registered Los Angeles County voters can drop off their vote-by-mail ballots in the box. No postage is needed. The box is designed to meet all security features required by the California Secretary of State.

Free visitor parking for voters—including accessible parking spaces—will be available in the upper level of Structure C and in Lot 4. Accessible parking is also available curbside in front of the University-Student Union. If at capacity, please see information on the visitors’ parking webpage
