City of Alhambra to Host Town Hall Meeting on 710 Mobility Improvement Projects

The City of Alhambra announced that it will host a town hall meeting to discuss its 710 Mobility Improvement Projects on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The event will take place in Council Chambers, Alhambra City Hall, located at 111 South First Street, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Mayor Maloney, Vice-Mayor Andrade-Stadler, and project team staff met with Caltrans District 7 Executives to discuss the development of the City’s 710 Mobility Improvement Projects at the 710 Stub, Fremont Ave, Atlantic Blvd, and Garfield Ave interchange along I-10.  Caltrans committed to being a continued partner to the City’s needs and mobility improvement efforts.

“The 710 Mobility Improvements Projects provide an exciting opportunity to restore the community’s fabric, remove the freeway to nowhere, reduce cut—through traffic, improve safety, and support future bicycle and pedestrian improvements,” said Mayor Maloney.  “The investments are a commitment to not only strengthening and enhancing Alhambra, but also ensuring a better quality of life for community members.”

Alhambra’s 710 Mobility Improvement Projects are funded by Measure R under the administration of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
