As the new school year kicks off, Emmaus Lutheran School and Preschool in Alhambra is thrilled to announce several new additions that are sure to enhance the educational experience for all students.
Preschool Thriving with Loving and Caring Staff
Our preschool continues to thrive, providing a nurturing environment where young learners are encouraged to explore, grow, and prepare for the future. We are excited to welcome Ms. Mandy Kaiser as our new Preschool teacher. Ms. Kaiser will be leading our P4 classroom, specifically designed for children ages 4-5, helping them build a strong foundation as they prepare to excel in Kindergarten and beyond. Families have long appreciated our small class sizes, which allow for personalized attention, as well as our big, beautiful campus, which boasts large classrooms and a wonderful outdoor play area.
Middle School Welcomes a New Science Teacher and Student Band
Our middle school students are also in for a treat this year with the addition of Mr. Ryan Gross, our new Science teacher. Mr. Gross brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for Science and Technology, and he is eager to inspire our students in these critical areas. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Gross will be starting a student band, offering students the opportunity to explore their musical talents and participate in a new and exciting extracurricular activity. At Emmaus, we are proud to offer a well-rounded education where students can engage in sports, music, student government, and much more.
A Warm Welcome to Pastor James Yue
Emmaus Lutheran Church is also blessed to welcome Pastor James Yue as our new Chinese pastor. Pastor James brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our community. He has previously served as a missionary and we are excited for his call to our church. He is playing a pivotal role in merging his former congregation from El Monte with ours here in Alhambra. Our Chinese congregation is now bustling with new friends and vibrant traditions, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for all.

There is so much that Emmaus Lutheran School and Preschool is looking forward to this year—spiritually, academically, and developmentally. As a Preschool and Elementary/Middle school offering grades K-8, we are committed to nurturing the whole child, helping each student grow in Christian faith, knowledge, and character.
