The 32nd annual Spark of Love toy drive brought joy and hope to approximately 175 families and 350 children in the Alhambra Unified School District (AUSD) community. Once again, AUSD partnered with the Alhambra Fire Department (AFD), the Alhambra Educational Foundation, Alhambra Teachers Association, Tzu Chi Foundation and other local organizations to make the holiday season special for families in need. The Spark of Love distribution, held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, was a heartwarming success, thanks to the community’s kindness and generosity. Families enjoyed a delicious breakfast, freshly-cooked by AFD firefighters before volunteers assisted each child as they selected from thousands of donated toys. We are grateful to all who generously gave toys and monetary donations, and to those who gave their time to help spread holiday cheer and make the season a little brighter for local struggling families.
