Join Alhambra Historical Society at 7 pm on Thursday, January 23, at the Alhambra Masonic Center at 9 West Woodward Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801 for a presentation entitled “Alarming Alhambra: Investigating the Dark Side of Alhambra’s History.”
The evening’s presenter will be Joe Walker, a Los Angeles County Sheriff Department crime analyst and a true crime historian. Mr. Walker will tell the often alarming stories of the obscure and lesser known crimes that have taken place in Alhambra’s history. Walker does guided tours of local crime scenes and interesting locations, and has put on tours regarding the notorious Hillside Stranglers, and his own created programs called “Terrors of Temple City” and “Sinister San Marino.” This Spring, Walker will start a tour highlighting Alhambra’s dark past.
Light refreshments will be served at the January 23 event and parking will be available at the Alhambra Masonic Center and on surrounding city streets. The event is free to the general public and all are welcome. If you have any questions about the event, please email the Alhambra Historical Society at [email protected].
