DESCRIPTION:In 1997\, the Alhambra Latino Association developed a scholarship program that would award one deserving senior from each of the high schools in the Alhambra School District (Alhambra High\, Independence High\, Mark Keppel High and San Gabriel High) with a scholarship towards their higher education. With the generous donations of members\, donors and supporters ALA has helped many talented Latinx youth on their way to college. The application process is easy! \n\n\n\n*New* EmpowerHER STEM ScholarshipThe EmpowerHER STEM Scholarship is dedicated to inspiring and equipping young women to pursue degrees and careers in STEM\, with a special focus on those engaged in and committed to pathways in engineering and mathematics. By providing essential support\, this scholarship aims to close the gender gap in STEM—particularly for women from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds—encouraging girls to explore\, excel\, and lead as innovators and changemakers in their communities and beyond.
